Do your courses have pre-tests and post-tests?

Yes.   In addition to quiz questions that are included as review exercises in the courses themselves, students are required to complete a pre-test prior to accessing the course, and must pass a post-test before receiving credit and a certificate.   [Top]

How complicated is it to set up your system in our facility?

Upstairs Solutions LTC training is completely web based so there is NO SOFTWARE INSTALLATION NECESSARY.  All you need is a computer and an Internet connection. 

Upstairs Solutions LTC has developed a thorough, yet simple, implementation plan.  We work closely with each client to determine their specific needs, including course selection by job role and tracking needs. [Top]

How much time does it take to complete one of your training modules?

Upstairs Solutions LTC training courses typically take 30 to 45 minutes.  Some of our advanced clinical modules for nurses can take up to an hour. [Top]

How many computers are we going to need to train all of our employees?

Facilities have found that they can comfortably train their staff with one to two computers for every 100 employees. [Top]

Many of my employees are not computer users.  How will they know what to do?

Our modules are user friendly with easy to understand directions.  No technical skills are required to take advantage of Upstairs Solutions LTC training.  We have consistently found that even employees who have never used a mouse are able to learn to use our system after just a few minutes of coaching. Can my employees earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) with Upstairs Solutions?

Yes. Upstairs Solutions LTC has accredited modules that can be used by administrators and nurses to fulfill continuing education requirements. [Top]

How can I track the training my employees complete?

Upstairs Solutions LTC’s training modules are tied to a comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS).  At any time, a report can be easily run to show the training history for a specific employee, training on a specific topic for the whole facility, or any other selection of information.  Instructor-led training, off-site seminars, and other learning experiences can also be entered into the system in order to provide a complete, integrated transcript for every employee.  Click here for more information.  [Top]

How is your content developed?  Can we customize content for our facility?

The founders of Upstairs Solutions LTC are senior care providers, and Upstairs Solutions LTC also works closely with subject matter experts whose expertise covers a wide range of topic areas related to long-term care.  And, we work closely with instructional designers to be sure the material is presented in the most effective manner. 

In addition, Upstairs Solutions LTC can augment our existing materials with your facility-specific information.  This feature allows you to offer your employees best-in-class training as well as the customized information they need to work in your facility. [Top]
